My greatest passion is sharing the hidden natural gems of the Cape Floral Kingdom and South Africa with visitors. It is easy to be enthusiastic about the natural phenomena here at the tip of the African continent which is definitely worthwhile enjoying, conserving and sharing with visitors.
I have been operating a responsible tourism company called “The Eco-ist” for the last seven years after finishing a B.Sc degree in Nature Conservation, Botany and Geography and working and travelling abroad for a year.
During this period I have also been involved with several associations such as the South African Tourism Services Association (SATSA), focusing on their Responsible Tourism Strategy and the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) – specifically involved with CREW – the Custodians of Rare & Endangered Wild Flowers.
Recently I have also become involved in advising companies in Cape Town on sustainability in the work place.
